The aim is to do as many detailed drawings as possible, as often as possible, to fill up my sketchbook by the end of the year.

As I write this, I am playing catch-up with sharing these sketches on the blog. This quick lunch break sketch is of Kingsmead Square, Bath.

I was challenged to try sketching quickly on location. My natural tendency is to take my sweet time when recording detail. While that can be quite therapeutic, it takes up too much time.

Having recorded the basics, I left it for a few days. Then bit by bit, I’ve returned with a few splashes of colour.

What I used:

– 0.1 and 0.5 pens

– brush pens for colour

What do you think?
