Psalm 37:7 NIV
As I gaze at the weight, of the task at hand,
And wonder how I could be part of the plan,
I’m timid and weak, my words often fail,
Lord, why would you not, just choose someone else?
.
Someone with boldness, someone with faith,
Someone whose words, simply hold more weight,
Someone like Paul, who even in chains,
Still found a way, of proclaim your name,
.
But Father forgive me! Forgetful man,
It’s not for my actions, or things I’ve done,
It’s only by grace, and only your love,
Your purpose revealed, through Jesus the man,
.
Lord help us to stand, in this world full of sin,
As pressures to change, slowly weigh us in,
Clinging onto Christ, and his blood-drenched cross,
Your intimate love, at ultimate cost

Billion thoughts! Come hear my billion thoughts!
As I put pen to paper, on my million faults.
Once upon a time, I was so full of vision,
Chased all my dreams, like a man on a mission,
So young and hungry, and empty of strife,
Fixed in pursuit, of fulfilment in life,
Life flashed by, I was soon reminiscing,
As slowly I drowned, in a plateaued ambition.
Increased anxiety, low self esteem,
Gradual depression, and groans in my dreams,
Most close friends moved on to better things,
Still there I was, just chasing the wind,
Lifted my eyes, to the skies with a cry,
In search of an answer, or meaning to life,
All that I tried, just seemed to feel lost,
Relationships past, that came at a cost,
Friends, listen up! This struggle is real,
Most go through, but will never reveal,
That constant struggle, like weights that are doubled,
Lonely’s the road, of the lonesome struggle,
Cast all your burdens, on Jesus for comfort,
Who cares and is there, when your life feels muffled,
Made in His image, held tight in His grip,
His grace is sufficient, He won’t let you slip,
Forgiveness in Jesus, restores us within,
No matter the struggle, no matter the sin,
A lifeboat in life, as it knocks you about
Restored from the plateau, outstretched like a dove.

Dear London and Manny, thank you for your spirit,
Through tragedy and trial, with love you pushed through it,
Those shocking, heart-breaking and gut-wrenching nights,
Of so few so cowardly, it begs the question “Why?”
Disastrous, unfathamable, careless-little-minds,
Descended on your streets, steeling from them many lives,
Demonically possessed, with intent to spread fear,
Instead were met with bravery, and love beyond compare,
Arising from the ashes, dusted off in defiance,
“Enough is enough!” Fear shall never define us,
Nor will it divide us, but bring us ever closer,
Lest victory be handed, to those mindless little loners,
In a game of top trumps, love triumphs over all,
Not acting like Pharisees, who’d look but ignore,
And to the many helpers, who acted on instinct,
Stared death in the face, yet helped without flinching,
Known to mind your business, the way you mind the gap,
Instead you flipped the script, with love unwrapped,
We thank you for you bravery, we thank you for your love,
Refreshing and brotherly, beyond and above.
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(Philippians 2:5-11)
“We all like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and The Lord has laid on him the sins of us all”
(Isaiah 53:6)
“For God SO loved the world that he gave his ONLY son, that WHOEVER believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”
(John 3:16)
Jesus said: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
(John 10:10)
